Death is a funny thing.
It clings to, hangs in the air. And you breathe it in and it gets caught in, sets into the bottom of your lungs. And then you try to huff, breathe it out. And it just won't let you cough, heave, throw it up.
It makes family uncomfortable, makes them awkward around each other, makes each of them wonder what it will take to upset, break, shatter, one another. Stupid little motions, tucking in your elbows, as if accidentally jabbing your father in the side of the arm will cause him to burst, pop, finally cry. She rang the doorbell.
"Hi!" she exclaimed excitedly. "Let's take a long walk together," she said a little more calmly, the smile on her face unflinching.
He rubbed the sleep off his face; his nap had just been interrupted. He inaudibly moaned, not wanting to discontent the young lady.
He spoke, his voice raspy, still trying to shake off the sleep, "It's going to rain." He indicated the gray skies above with his gentle fingers, but his eyes were continuously trained on her.
Her eyes got wide, and she gave the look he had been trying to avoid. It was hard to describe... The way her eyes just opened up as if she knew something he didn't, th

I want you to know...
I want to make you smile. I want your lips to curl at the tips, softly, like the sun's rays poking through the clouds on a rainy day.
I want to see you content. I'll make you sit down criss-cross applesauce and braid your hair, my fingers delicately entwining the millions of strands, as you get the chills. I'll tie it up with a pretty red ribbon, the kind that you like. It will look like true love.
I want to see you daydream. I'll drag you up a hill. We'll sit down next to a tree. In the snow. And stare up at the clouds for hours. We'll talk about your true love. I'll see your eyes twinkle brighter than the snow and know that you're happy.

rushing, sliding into the embracing comfort of the soft seat
through the pitpat pitpat.
you breathe softly,
blink twice,
watching the lowlight reflect the shadows
of the rain.
a song surrounds you so strong,
you can hardly bare it.
you love it.
the melodious tune.
a melancholy drift.
a sweet softness.
watching the rain shatter on the pavement
safe behind crystal.
your damp clothes cold,
your heart finally warming up again,
you drive back home.

Sometimes writing is just too complex.
I'm not going to butter you up with fancy adjectives.
You will not hear me talk about lavender skies or breathing in the impossible.
I will simply tell you that sunsets are beautiful and that fresh air smells nice.
I'm not talking about feather-frail bones on an open canvas.
I'm talking about a bird flying in the wide blue sky.

and in the quiet, we could hear our heels scraping against the pavement, make out the ghostly cries of our winded hearts, and the sound of tears being restrained. we saw them fall, our hearts that is, and shatter on the concrete. my leg throbbed from the cut i had received, and her lip pouted.
"it's nice to hear the quiet," we both said.
i think we both hesitated a moment before walking out the gate. we faltered, simply because we could not bare to leave the silence. because if we did, we would have to face the real world, and remember that time did indeed move on. but we had other people we cared about. we couldn't leave them behind.

Okay, I'll bite. I mean I am a super huge Harry Potter fan, so I can't help but have a journal dedicated to him on his Birthday, right?
It's also the birth date of his creator, Jo Rowling. Who is practically my God. Without her amazing series, I doubt I would have the ambition to become a novelist, so thanks for being born so that you could fuel my hopes and dreams, as well as that of millions of kids everywhere.
And you know, Happy Birthday, Harry.
And a little late, Happy Birthday DanRad and Neville Longbottom. : )
summer is almost here [finally!] which means i have huge plans to do something with life. but will probably end up being a lazy couch potato :
well, we'll see where these next few months take me.
I'm so sick of schoolwork, but i'm also scared to death about next year. I'm kinda scared half-to death right now. I might post some writing I did for a school project-- they're vignettes about my life.
oh! AND BIRTHDAY WISHES TO ONE OF MY BESTEST FRIENDS: ~ConfuzzleBunny (https://www.deviantart.com/confuzzlebunny) :DDDD I love you! and sorry for being so lame and not having gotten you anything yet. going malling this weekend. I'll get you something then.
p.s. is my font face working

When this amazing piece by my friend ConfuzzleBunny (https://www.deviantart.com/confuzzlebunny):http://confuzzlebunny.deviantart.com/art/Edge-of-Crazytown-156445701 has only one fav from me :|
now that simply just won't do! so show it some love please?
